Angie Meister- Executive Director/Owner

Angie has studied dance for almost 42 years. As a member of Ballet Midland Dance Company, she was a featured soloist, studying under Susan Clark, Anthony Ferro, Judy Coleman and Audrey Walker. As a participant in Southwest Regional Ballet Association festivals across the southwest, she performed in Santa Fe, Dallas, and Houston, studying under guest artists Anne Reinking and Bill Martin Viscount. Angie has a B.A. in Pre-K and Elementary Education.
Angie has a solid background in competitive cheerleading and gymnastics. As a former NCA All-American Cheerleader, she performed in Ireland representing the United States and competed in All-Around gymnastics at the state level for many years. Angie has also coached competitive cheerleading at the high school level. Angie had a competitive and exhibition dance team for 3 years in the Midwest before relocating to the DFW area. Angie was recently named Outstanding Director by American Dance/Drill Team at the 2008 Texas State Championship and 2012 American Dance/Drill Team Nationals.  Angie has created a very successful studio of multi-award winning dance companies as well as a studio that teaches every child the love for dance in every development stage.  Angie is the President of United Performing Arts Guild a 501c3 program that helps raise money for families in order to be able to participate in the fine arts and mentor them.  The nonprofit also offers dance classes for special needs students of all ages.   Angie is an active member of the Downtown Arlington Rotary club and enjoys working with the city to help bring back Arts and Culture to Arlington.  Angie has a passion to train dancers from the inside out and not only be good technical dancers, but to also have a strong sense of self-worth and confidence.

Ashley Dobay

Ashley Dobay is originally from South Florida, where she started dancing at a young age. She continued her training in Cincinnati and went on to study dance at The University of Akron, where she graduated with a BFA in dance in 2006. At the university, Ashley was trained by members of The Martha Graham Company, The Pennsylvania Ballet, and Jennifer Mull/The Works. She was in The University of Akron Dance Company for four years and also performed in the student-choreographed concerts. Ashley danced with Verb Ballets in Cleveland, Ohio from 2006-2013.  She has had the honor to perform many great works from well-known choreographers including Appalachian Spring and Lamentation by Martha Graham, To Have and To Hold by Shapiro and Smith, and Vespers by Ulysses Dove along with many other pieces by Heinz Poll, Hernando Cortez, Christopher Fleming, and emerging choreographers such as Antonio Brown to name a few. Along with her professional career, Ashley has been teaching dance since 2005 to pre-professional and competition kids of all ages. She also teaches master classes in intensives/workshops all over the Northeast Ohio area. Ashley just moved to Texas alongside her husband Matt and 1 year old daughter Sophia. She looks forward to continuing her dance career in the DFW area.

Dorian Hejny

Miss Dorian started her ballet training at age 3 with Ballet Arlington under Svetlana Stanova and Nicolai Semikov. She continued her studies at Texas Ballet Theater School, Ballet Center of Fort Worth, and Etgen-Atkinson Ballet School where she performed for three years as a company member with Dallas Metropolitan Ballet. Miss Dorian finished her training as a student under Megan Young and Emily Hunter at Arlington Classical Ballet Academy.Miss Dorian has attended summer intensives at Tulsa Ballet’s Pointe to the Future, American Ballet Theater, Pacific Northwest Ballet, San Francisco Ballet School, Ballet West, and Texas Ballet Theater where she received scholarships for some of her training. Three times, Miss Dorian placed in the top 10 at Youth America Grand Prix in both classical ballet and contemporary, qualifying for the New York finals. Miss Dorian started teaching pre-ballet and creative movement classes at the age of 14 while she was a student and company member with Dallas Met. She continued to develop as a teacher and choreographer during this time, coaching students for YAGP and other national dance competitions. Miss Dorian has taught Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, and Contemporary Dance for ACBA and IDI for the past four years where her competitive groups and solos consistently won top ratings and overall titles. In addition to her teaching schedule, Miss Dorian has danced professionally with Gaudium Dance Movement for two years under the direction of Gina Lee. Miss Dorian currently dances professionally with Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet and Festival Ballet of North Central Texas and is so excited to work with the fabulous instructors and dancers of United Performing Arts.

Jayci Meister

Jayci Meister has been dancing since she was 3 and trained her at United Performing Arts Company in Arlington, Texas. Jayci grew up as a competition kid but then found love in Concert companies when her studio created AMP a pre professional company. She started choreographing at the age 16 and has gotten several choreography awards since. Jayci received multiple scholarships to many summer intensives in NYC and LA where she trained under sought out professionals from all over the country. Jayci is part of multiple professional shows including Arlingtons Spectacular Christmas, State fair Illumination Sensation, and more. Jayci continues her training by taking ballet classes at contemporary ballet Dallas, United Performing Arts and trains in all different styles wherever she can. Jayci specializes  in contemporary fusion while helping  all dancers find their artistry and movement. Jayci  continues to teach her students everything she’s learned in the years of dancing and helping them grow as professional dancers.
